"They were the best 8 years with him" Is a project focusing on found imagery looking at true love, reminding us of our first loves, new loves and the power of love overall. Exploring her grandmothers archive imagery, Akigg came across these beautiful photographs of her grandmother's first love. The story of her grandmothers first love did not last to unfortunate situations yet her love remains the same towards him.  

By tearing the images ever so slightly yet keeping them still connected explores the idea of ever lasting love.
